Every since my hubby was in 5th grade, he has had a love for Madonna.  His love affair started with “Lucky Stars”, and grew as “Like A Virgin” and “Material Girl” was released. Over the years his affection for Madonna and her music has not faltered, and if anything it has grown as he has changed from that boy to the man he is now.

It has been his dream for all these years to see her perform in concert, but Madonna has never made an appearance anywhere remotely close to where we live, until this year.   When my hubby’s sister found out that Madonna would be performing at the BOK Center in Tulsa, which is only a two and a half hour drive for us, she immediately bought my hubby tickets as a gift.  You would have thought he was a kid in a candy store the way he lit up when he opened the envelope.  I’m not sure if I have ever seen him so excited over something before.

As I started making plans for my hubby and I to attend the concert, we decided to make it a winter getaway for the two of us and enjoy some time together in Tulsa.  As I was making arrangements and looking for a hotel nearby the BOK Center, I came across a hip and trendy hotel called ALoft.  Now if you have had the opportunity to stay in an ALoft Hotel before, you know exactly what I mean.  If you haven’t, you are definitely missing out on an amazing hotel experience.

ALoft Hotel is not your usually traditional stay with a free breakfast in the morning. Instead it is urban and modern establishment that appeals to all genre of people.  With it’s loft inspired design and amazing views overlooking downtown Tulsa, ALoft Hotel leaves you with the big city appeal and small-town charm.

From the concrete floors, funky furniture and bright colors, it fit right in with our style. And we were in love with our double queen corner suite, that had way to room for just the two of us, but we didn’t complain.  Complete with a deluxe spa bathroom, we felt we were staying in a high rise city condo, not a hotel. Look at those views!

The Aloft has so many perks that you will not feel like you are at a hotel at all.  From the 24 hour snack bar, to your made to order breakfast you will most definitely be feeling the royal treatment.  ALoft also has an onsite bar, the WXYZ, which serves trendy drinks and appetizers, and with an onsite restaurant opening soon, and a fitness center to keep you in routine, you will have no need to leave the premises if you prefer not too.

So we dressed up in our Madonna concert outfits and headed to the WXYZ Bar for a drink and appetizer.  My hubby and I had a great time mingling with other guests over drinks before we headed to the concert.  It is a very modern and hip bar with an amazing vibe.

And the best part of all, is that The ALoft is a 2 minute walk to the BOK Center.  We literally had to just walk out of the hotel, down the parking and across the street.  No finding a place to park, no waiting for hours trying to get out of the concert.  It was AMAZING!

And even though we were in Tulsa on pleasure, I still had work to do, and ALoft offers several lounge areas perfect for working, reading or just relaxing.

Being in the center of Downtown Tulsa, in a safe area, The ALoft definitely has it perks.  It is within walking distance to upscale boutiques and restaurants including a wonderful place called Billy’s.  It was love with the first bite!
